Educational calculations
These tools provide educational calendar calculations. They are not financial or legal advice. A result does not establish identity, eligibility, entitlement or the correct interpretation of a policy. Check the applicable rule with its responsible authority before using a result for a formal decision.
Calendar conventions
The tools use Gregorian dates from 1600 through 9998. They clamp missing anniversary days to the last day of the target month. February 29 birthdays therefore use February 28 in non-leap years. Half-birthdays use six calendar months. Other calculators or rules may choose a different convention, leading to different calendar breakdowns.
Hours are total calendar days multiplied by twenty-four. They do not account for birth time, time of day, time zones, daylight saving changes or leap seconds. The general tools measure date intervals rather than clock-time intervals. Worked examples use illustrative date inputs, not records about real people.
Retirement table limits
The retirement tool selects a row from the cited SSA table for retirees. It does not calculate benefit payments or survivor benefits. Its initial data was verified against an archived SSA page after the live host blocked requests. Consult the current SSA page for the latest guidance and confirm how rules apply to your circumstances.
The verification date records when a source was checked. It is not a guarantee that a rule has not changed since an archived capture. An unsuccessful refresh preserves the last verified file, so a displayed table can remain available even when the source cannot be reached.
Check your inputs
Make sure your birth date, comparison date and count options are correct. A completed age does not identify a unique birth date; the reverse tool returns a range. For questions about how the calculations operate, read the method and linked official sources on the relevant tool page.
